The Women We Have ~24 years: Nani

My nani is an interesting woman. At a cute age of 73, she runs a small scale business that caters to local as well as international clients between the age of 0 - 10 years. She is a fashion designer for kids. She employs other women around her and is a community leader. Her fashion is sustainable and traditional as it gets passed down through generations. Believe me, her frocks are still in my closet, safely put away for a girl that I might have.

Sometimes I feel that we look at the leadership roles that women take on as consequential, which they might be. But that does not mean that we shouldn't celebrate their success. She is the quintessential creator, negotiator and provider whom I have grown up admiring. And honestly, if I could be half a good chef as she is, I would consider myself very lucky.
